The officers of the IBFNA, Pastor Al Richards and the people of Mid-Brook
Baptist Church hosted the 12th annual IBFNA Conference, June 25-27, 2002 at the Clarion Hotel
in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The conference was full of warm fellowship and
heart-stirring preaching from the Word of God.

The 2002 IBFNA Conference in Cleveland will feature numerous activities
for the whole family. Those who love the water will find the Cleveland
Lakefront State Park to be just the right mix of swimming, picnicking, and
strolling along the shore. Fishing and a boat launch are available as
well.
If you enjoy museums, Cleveland has plenty to occupy your attention.
The Cleveland Museum of Art is one of America's finest art museums and houses
one of the world's most impressive collections. It is especially known for
its Egyptian and Medieval collections, special exhibits and educational
activities. Cleveland's 500-acre University Circle has one of the largest
concentrations of cultural attractions and institutions in the nation.
Other fine museums in the University Circle area include: The Cleveland Museum
of Natural History, Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum, Western Reserve Historical
Society, Health Museum, Children's Museum of Cleveland and the Cleveland
Botanical Garden.
Great Lakes Science Center is the perfect place to enjoy a unique learning
experience that the whole family will enjoy. A 165,000 square-foot
state-of-the-art complex, the Great Lakes Science Center includes three floors
of exhibits, education classrooms and demonstrations spaces, as well as a
200-seat auditorium, and a 324-seat Omnimax Theatre, which utilizes the world's
largest screen and projection system. Programs and more than 350
interactive exhibits are designed around the inter-relationships between
science, the environment and technology.
Where else in the world can you see the accomplishments of the most well
known inventors in the world and try your own hand at experiments and
inventing? At Inventure Place, home to the Inventors Hall of Fame, of
course! Located in Akron, Ohio, this $38 million facility serves as a
museum to 120 of the nation's greatest inventors. Five floors feature many
laser and computer-activated exhibits and a 20,000 square-foot hands-on area.
Enjoy a fun-filled family day at The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and The
Rainforest. Visit the animal kingdom as you travel the 165 rolling wooded
acres of the zoo. Walk the African plains, journey through the Northern
Trek, explore underwater sea life, check out more than 300 birds, primates, cats
lions, tigers and bears. Visit 35 different displays of salt and fresh
water sea life, sharks, piranhas, sting-rays and living coral in the aquatics
exhibit. Visit Wolf Wilderness, where gray wolves, beavers, eagles and an
assortment of wetland species can be seen. Australian Adventure will
transport guests to the many unique regions of Australia where they can visit
Koala Junction and Wallaby Walkabout.
The Rainforest is home to more than 600 unique animals and 10,000 plants from
the jungles of Africa, Asia and the Americas. Highlights include a 25-foot
water curtain and a simulated tropical storm. Guides are on hand to
provide information on ecology, animals and their habitats, as well as
Rainforest flora and fauna.
A short drive from Cleveland, the adventuresome will find Cedar Point, one of
the best amusement parks in the United States, and Sea World. The Pro
Football Hall of Fame is located to the South in Canton and for a more sedate
outing head to Holmes City, home to Ohio's largest Amish population and the
world's largest Amish settlement. Working cheese factories, country
stores, and horse and buggies adorn historic Amish villages dotted throughout
the country.
